When born my step mother fit into a shoebox! 😲 How wonderful that you became an artist! Art was calling me but marriage, children, and Bible Eschatology took up my time. However, I believe that we can choose to incorporate art in our every day lives.
Absolutely Jayna. Everyone is an artist of some sort. Sadly, not everyone believes that. The world of art often devolves into a special club, with obscure language and attitudes on display.

I agree with Transcriber B that it is an unusual image, a grown man asleep (if not dead) on his back holding a doll, surrounded by flag/patriotic imagery, but I like the dreamlike ambiguity.
The patterns are something that I am not sure how to feel about yet. Are they reassuring? Are they damning? Both?
After reading Transcriber B's assessment of the image, I almost swapped it out, since that was the complete opposite of what I intended. But then I thought it may be a poetic reflection of the topic.
There's the ambiguity that you mention ... different people have experienced the same event with radically opposed views.

Oh ! ... I guess that is not clear. It is a napping man holding a doll. I was angling for something sweet.
