WOW! I took a quick look. . .seeing a rather small baby resting on a dad's sleeping lap with patriotic colors in the background, kind of murky though but not macabre to me. I always like to post very clear pictures with great colors if possible. You will find that I post these publicly on MeWe. Viewers need this today . . with all the LIES and jarring images that confront us! 😲

Thank You for your continued work!

Guilty as charged Jayna. I'm a former liberal artist that is too clever for his own good.

Vagueness used to be my calling card as an artist. Maybe it's not all it's cracker-barrelled up to be.

HA! "Cracker-barreled up to be"? I LIKE that! I was not meaning to critique you. . .just letting you know what I thought of the photo. I did not think of it as being a doll but a baby. When born my step mother fit into a shoebox! 😲 How wonderful that you became an artist! Art was calling me but marriage, children, and Bible Eschatology took up my time. However, I believe that we can choose to incorporate art in our every day lives.

Absolutely Jayna. Everyone is an artist of some sort. Sadly, not everyone believes that. The world of art often devolves into a special club, with obscure language and attitudes on display.

Thanks for your story about your mom, that image of her in the shoebox is priceless.

It is suggestive how consistent a few basic patterns are now that you’ve completed this survey. The final wrap-up should be engaging.

I agree with Transcriber B that it is an unusual image, a grown man asleep (if not dead) on his back holding a doll, surrounded by flag/patriotic imagery, but I like the dreamlike ambiguity.

Thank you David.

The patterns are something that I am not sure how to feel about yet. Are they reassuring? Are they damning? Both?

After reading Transcriber B's assessment of the image, I almost swapped it out, since that was the complete opposite of what I intended. But then I thought it may be a poetic reflection of the topic.

There's the ambiguity that you mention ... different people have experienced the same event with radically opposed views.

Interesting!! I look forward to the next one and a wrap up.

That's a somewhat macabre image you selected!

...I'm going to add a disclaimer to that image!

Oh ! ... I guess that is not clear. It is a napping man holding a doll. I was angling for something sweet.

Goes to show, perception is fickle. I can see now why you describe it as macabre

... instead of napping, he might be dead. The doll could be a bandage.
