Michigan
Mortality trends for public employee retirees in the years 2015 to 2024.
I’m a former public employee that did not want to put an experimental drug into my body just to keep my job. That experience has probably scarred me for life. I am now looking at public institutions, state by state, to see if there is any potential (official) evidence of harm caused by those coerced covid vaccinations.

Geez! This is another hard nut!
Wow! It was a lot of work!

Maybe you are the nut, csofand.

Yeah.

Michigan’s reports did not want me to make this post. Stingy curveballs … one after another. For example, I needed to painstakingly go through each annual report for certain data. In the middle of doing that, the Michigan site would not access on my computer, so I had to improvise and send myself screenshots from my phone for all the actuarial gains and losses you will probably curse me for afflicting you with down in the meat of this post. Magically, as I write, the site is now able to be accessed on my computer. Whew, that was a close one.
Back to those actuarial gains and losses. I have stated in the past that I liken those sort of tables to a bookie’s diary. The actuaries are saying, “hey we really thought this was going to happen, and it didn’t … it really turned out like this …” Have you ever been watching a sports game on TV and there might be an ad for Fanduel, or maybe even a commentator mentions the “over under” bets? Well, it seems that these tables of gains and losses are essentially the same. But these actuaries are the professional’s professional when it comes to serious speculation. It’s their job to get it right as close as possible. Pay close attention to the language in the descriptions for the areas I have highlighted in those tables. In each category that I have highlighted with yellow, a gain would indicate higher mortality. As you will see by looking at the numbers and my graphs, the pro betters here were always off big for mortality during the pandemic. Millions of dollars off, big. They just kept being surprised by what actually happened. But that’s okay, those millions went back into the coffers. That’s why it is a gain, after all.
Well what does that have to do with the members removed from rolls tables and graph that we are usually focusing on? I will admit that the members removed graph is not as extreme as some of the others we have seen. But it does clearly show the pandemic event. FY2021 is the highest bar, with FY2022 and FY2023 still well elevated above the pre-pandemic average. Maybe the seemingly significant numbers in the actuarial gains and losses are proportional to the members removed. I am no expert. Then again, maybe there are other things going on in one dataset that are not seen in another. Could be. You be the judge.
In that respect, I will call your attention lastly here to the Withdrawal from Employment gain and loss you will see below. It is in this statistic that we may be able to glimpse what happened to the active members. If I am correct about that, then I am greatly saddened by what we see on the graph. 2023 has the largest gain (more death) than the bookie’s expected. More by far.

It is hard to truly pin down the mandate situation in Michigan. There is no record I can find of an actual mandate on the government workers. However there are signs that there was some strong support for the vaccination efforts at large. The governor, the infamous Gretchen Whitmer, pushed out the “Vacc to Normal” campaign. Great wordplay there Gretchen!

*please make note of the description for Withdrawal from Employment as it states, “including death-in-service”. This is why I have included this information since that would translate into active member deaths.
“Sec. 5. (1) An employer shall not do any of the following:
(a) Discharge, fail or refuse to hire or recruit, or otherwise discriminate against a qualified individual with respect to employment, compensation, or a term, condition, or privilege of employment, or threaten to do any of these things, because the individual has not received or declines to receive, for any reason, a specified vaccination.
(b) Require a qualified individual who has not received or declines to receive a specified vaccination to do either of the following:
(i) Wear a surgical face mask as a consequence of not receiving or declining to receive a specified vaccination.
(ii) Display on the qualified individual's person a mark that distinguishes the qualified individual from qualified individuals who have received or not declined to receive a specified vaccination.
(c) Disclose to the public that the qualified individual has not received or declines to receive a specified vaccination.”

Millions of Michigan workers must follow COVID-19 vaccine or testing mandate by Jan. 4
November 4, 2021
“Millions of public and private employees in Michigan and the U.S. must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Jan. 4 or prepare to submit regular negative tests and wear masks in the workplace if they want to keep their jobs, under a federal mandate announced Thursday.
That means in addition to employees of large Michigan private companies, thousands of public school teachers, police officers, firefighters and other local public employees must also abide by the new rule …
…"We are closely following the federal government’s rollout on protections for working people," Whitmer spokesman Bobby Leddy said.
"In Michigan, we continue to encourage Michiganders to get vaccinated as this is the best way to keep people safe and continue our strong economic growth."

Governor Whitmer Unveils Plan to Get 'MI Vacc to Normal'
April 29, 2021
"The MI Vacc to Normal challenge outlines steps we can take to emerge from this pandemic as we hit our vaccination targets together," said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. "On our path to vaccinating 70% of Michiganders 16 and up, we can take steps to gradually get back to normal while keeping people safe. If you haven't already, I encourage you to rise to the challenge and be a part of the solution so we can continue our economic recovery and have the summer we all crave."
